...united in prayer...
"While the storm clouds gather far across the sea,
Let us swear allegiance to a land that's free,
Let us all be grateful for a land so fair,
As we raise our voices in a solemn prayer. "
God Bless America,
Land that I love.
Stand beside her, and guide her
Thru the night with a light from above.
From the mountains, to the prairies,
To the oceans, white with foam
God bless America, My home sweet home." ~ Irving Berlin

Michael (the kid with his own drum)
We had a bit of a conversation (at home and with my facebook community) over this outfit. Of course the brown t-shirt matches his shirt and it matches his shorts, but the plaid shorts and plaid shirt sent my head in a spin! And like any good mother, I sent my child off to school just like this. As was kindly pointed out on fb, his hair is combed, his glasses are on his face, he's filled with confidence, he dressed himself (even if that's a pre-kindergarten activity)and he knew I loved him. Isn't that what matters? and as one dear friend reminded me, 1 Samuel 16: 7 "Look not on his countenance...for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart." Thanks, Dianne!
