LOL

Ben and I were looking thru the ads this morning. There was one that had a variety of Orchids on sale. I said to Ben, "Would you like some orchids?" and he replied, "More kids? Don't we have enough?!" I started laughing and he just looked at me. "More kids? Isn't that what you said?" he mocked. .... oh for heaven's sake! I love his sense of humor!

Char...I think that's hilarious! I have to tell you I had 1,000 thoughts pass through my mind when I read "orchids" and I really honestly didn't know I was so capable of retaining so much information!!! I read Orchids, and INSTANTLY thought: Lori- your mission companion, and the Ckn Cord on Blue I ate at Arbys when we joined her there, and her gray carpet she was going to have replaced b/c her dog, a whippet (which I'd never heard of before, but instantly loved) had tore it up along the seam into their kitchen, Lori's table in her living room, under the front window, filled with the most beautiful orchids I'd ever seen- and probably the 1st one's I'd remembered seeing too, and Brent...her husband, who was out of town or golfing (I think he was golfing actually)...and his new royal blue motorcycle in the garage, and her cute little car...don't remember what it was for sure, but think it was black. Lehi, and the drive out to her house, along Utah Lake?, and then going on to get Ashliman?'s candles (or scent pod type things...I think called scent beans or something), and the lady's home, and her little store in her home, then Dentrix training, and what a blast it was...the goodies while we learned, the mexican place we ate at- and the huge bag of chips they gave us, your oh-so-yummy looking salad you got there, and our drive back and forth each day (we stayed in a motel the next year...which brings back a whole slew of different memories- like keeping you up late, and my secret fascination with your travel bag that had all your shampoo, razor, lotion, etc. in it), our talk about your cute little Toyota, that had had the engine replaced, and had driven over 300,000 miles or something quite incredible, but how cheap it was for you to get the new engine, b/c in Japan? they swap out their engines very routinely, and your discussion about not minding the commute to SLC like you'd done for your old job, b/c it gave you quite time to think...

I don't know how the brain works, but apparently- Mine is working! It's totally amazing how one simple key word meant so much to me.

What fabulous memories I have made with you, what an impression you've had on my life, and how I cherish and love every tiny bit of you!!! It really impressed me how Lori left such a footprint in my heart too! I really hope she's happy and well. (Lori- if you read this, for some reason, I'll never forget you!)

Char, I love you & hope you are having a fabulous day!

wow. I would freak out too if Nathan asked me that, but he probably would be asking that and not about orchids! That is funny though.
